Making Disciples

Our Mission

As a church striving to be obedient to Jesus Christ we believe He gave a clear mission for our lives…

    ...go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

                                                Matthew 28:18-20

What is a Disciple?

Jesus gave us these three characteristics of a disciple:

A disciple of Jesus is…

1. Obedient to God’s Word: “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciple.” (John 8:31);

2. Loving: “By this all men will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35);

3. Fruitful: “By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciple.” (John 15:8).

We aspire to...

 ...be godly family members, co-workers & neighbors who genuinely invest in the welfare of the communities were we live, work and play!  This is described for us in Jeremiah 29:6-7 & Matthew 28:18-20

“This is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says to all the exiles I deported from Jerusalem to Babylon: “Build houses and live in them. Plant gardens and eat their produce. Take wives and have sons and daughters. Take wives for your sons and give your daughters to men in marriage so that they may bear sons and daughters. Multiply there; do not decrease. Seek the welfare of the city I have deported you to. Pray to the Lord on its behalf, for when it has prosperity, you will prosper.”

“Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

This Vision and Mission which Jesus has given to His church is big!  Therefore we continually seek God’s direction through prayer, asking Him what part He has uniquely called Church at the Ranch to play within the Highlands Ranch community.  We believe it looks like this:
